Little Shapes, Big Style!

Yet another fortnight has flown past, probably because we were so busy LOVING all of the beautiful inchie, twinchie, and everywhere-in-between cards you guys linked up! It is *never* easy to feature only three, but this time it was particularly hard, for which we thank you! ♥

...proved that inchies needn't be square or round, in fact, they should probably ALWAYS be hexagons!

...combined her inchies with a bigger square and a rectangle, to make an even more dynamic grid that we're sort of totally obsessed with!

...made her inchies into a pair of fabulous, quilt-like designs we can't wait to try!

Many thanks to everyone who played along, we loved seeing every one of your beautiful, clever cards! We'll be back at midnight with a brand new prompt we hope you'll love the sound of! :)

Creative Coloring of Christmas

We loved seeing all of the color mediums in the gallery ... and here are a few that particularly caught our eyes.

Lindsey
of

created fun graphic holiday trees by combining die cuts with Distress Ink *coloring*
... such a great way to add wonderful pops of color.

Alison C
of

found the perfect use for a previously discarded water-colored background
and combined it with perfect coloring with Brushos and Pro Markers ...
that Polar Bear is such a cutie.

Helen
of

shared beautiful coloring with watercolor pencils ...
but we particularly loved her doodled frames.

Join us at midnight tomorrow for a fun *LITTLE* prompt to keep our Christmas card making juices flowing.

Metal Marvels

We loved seeing all of the variations on our metal theme in the gallery.

Here are a few that particularly caught our eye.

Marcia K of

created an entire collection of marvelous metal designs by using the same die cut but layers different combinations of metallic papers (click through to see more) ... absolutely bling-tastic.

Marty F of

combined gold watercolor, gold embossing, gold flourishes, and even *golded* her silver charms to create her magnificent vintage gold masterpiece.

Stephanie L of

used a new-to-us Inked Stencil Dry Embossing Technique to create a lovely letterpress-like design using metallic ink.  Her big bold metallic sentiment is also the star of the show.

We'll be back tomorrow with our annual round-up post.  We hope that we helped you take back your December one holiday card at a time ... we'll look forward to seeing you in 2018.

Thank You for the Thank Yous!

It seems especially appropriate to be rounding up the glorious holiday thank you cards on the Thursday we Americans celebrate Thanksgiving! Of course one of the things we're most thankful for creatively, is the fact that we get to hang out with (and be inspired by!) our amazing fellow papercrafters all year round AND avoid the dreaded holiday card-making stress in December! Be sure to tune in tomorrow when we announce the last official theme of our 2017 ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ season. Meanwhile, here are a few thank you cards that made us especially grateful:

...created an amazingly lovely, perfectly seasonal thank you that is also a master class in diecutting technique!

...employed the ever-adorable House Mouse and his friend, to teach us all a thing or two about friendship; not to mention stamping and coloring!

...despite being one of the most positive people we know, turns out to be an expert in negative space, as this beautifully graphic CAS card proves!

Many thanks to everyone who played along, we loved seeing every single card! C'mon back at midnight when we'll reveal the last official prompt of 2017; you won't want to miss this one, it's solid gold, we tell ya! ;)

Mission Emboss-ible

Wow ... the gallery for this week's prompt is amazing ... so many awesome embossing techniques.

It was definitely hard to choose, but here are a few of our favorites.

Barb Housner
of

rocked the emboss resist technique with gorgeous non-traditional holiday hues ... and that seam binding is fantastic.

Julie
of

beautifully combined texture embossing with heat embossing to create this gorgeous night time holiday scene.

Hansi
of

also combined heat embossing with texture embossing to make this snow-filled winter wonderland design ... love how the penguin looks like he's trying to hide off the side of the circle to avoid being pelted by a snowball.

Come back at midnight for one of our favorite prompts of the year.

Tip Top Tic-Tac-Toe

It is always a joy to click through and see each and every link in our ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ galleries, but this fortnight's Tic-Tac-Toe cards were especially creative and wonderful, so we highly recommend scrolling down to the original post for a look-see. Meanwhile, here are a few entries we found especially delightful:

...rocked the middle column of the board (snow/cardstock/blue) in a big big way with an adorable trio of polar bears!

...coincidentally used exactly the same ingredients, to equally wonderful effect, but in a COMPLETELY different way!
(For the record, that's our very favorite thing about a game like Tic-Tac-Toe!)

...chose the first column (red/glitter/santa) and used each of those to perfection!

Many thanks to everyone who played along and shared their creations! We'll be back at midnight with a brand new prompt that we hope will inspire you... like a boss... :)

Cornelia of

created a beautiful snow globe scene because
"Santa Claus is Coming to Town".

Jane Willis of

used a perfectly stamped musical background (gotta love that MISTI)
to frame her modern silhouette Christmas tree.

Old-Fashioned Goodness

It's truly inspiring to see so many different ways to create a "Vintage" look for our holiday cards; we always love to see what our Jingle Belles will come up with, and you never disappoint! Here are three cards that made our holiday hearts especially happy:

...had the perfect stamp for this theme and then made it even better with a clever two-layer stamping technique!

...added layers of paper, lace, flowers, diecuts, pearls and... well, let's just say we could stare at this beautiful vintage-style creation for a good long time!

...proves that the vintage look can still be quite pared down and lovely; you just need the perfect retro-style image and just the right papers to finish off a perfectly sweet card!

♥♥♥
And now it's time to see who's won that fun Christmas ephemera pack from Lauren's Etsy Shop, Just Enough Stuff! The fine folks at Random.org chose number *10* which means that

BARBARA G
is our lucky winner!

Please email Lauren at llaurenb (at) hotmail.com so she can get that prize in the mail!

Many thanks to everyone who linked up with us, we loved seeing every single card! We'll be back at Midnight with a brand new prompt we hope will put a song in your Christmas card-making heart!

...rocked the stars AND stripes, in the most beautifully fresh palette we've seen in quite some time!

We'll be back at midnight with some picture perfect inspiration we hope will have you running for your card-making supplies!♥

REUSE ... RECYCLE ... AND JINGLE!

We loved seeing all of the creative recycling in the gallery this week ... nothing better than making the EARTH a bit better by making art.

Here are a few that caught our eyes this week.

...not only made four cards cleverly using re-cycled Christmas cards and other bits; three actually have the EARTH on them! (Which definitely wasn't a requirement, but we confess to getting a kick out of it!)

...used part of an empty tissue box to diecut this beautiful wreath; bonus points for the fact that this favorite annual challenge was suggested by Kathe in Jingle Belles' very first year for which we thank her!

re-used and re-cycled rejected pieces from other creative ventures to make this adorable little holiday scene. (Plus... we love her gnome Santa Claus!)

and how her bold sentiment pops against the pretty striped sky.

took a simple sentiment sticker and made it into the star of the show
with fantastic designer paper and wonderful ribbon.

(click through to see more views)

embellishments you have in your stash ...
white-on-white-wonderful.

the inspiration photo into her peaceful
and elegant design.
