Rockin' Robin

This fortnight at Jingle Belles we are celebrating our fine, festive, feathered friends by asking you to make a brand new holiday card and #putabirdonit or, for those who don't speak hashtag (or Portlandia), "put a bird on it" lol!

It could be a sweet Christmas robin, fun penguins at the North Pole, a festive flamingo, or any other avian creature who strikes your fancy.

Here's what we made this week:

Lauren says, "I don't think I've ever made an Xmas card with a charcoal grey background before, but this holiday lights paper from Simple Stories just seemed to set off the little framed collage of words (from Elle's Studio) and my (Doodlebug) critters and birds so well, i couldn't resist!

Stephanie says, "I couldn't resist this cute little penguin and sentiment from Taylored Expressions Quick Critters Winter Stamp & Die combo... and strangely enough, I also used a dark grey background for my card paired with fun little holiday bingo cards and papers from the Say Cheese Collection by Simple Stories."

And just because it's very nearly almost Spring and we're excited about that, there's a little prize for one lucky (random) cardmaker who links up with us this fortnight:

MME "Mistletoe Magic" 6x6 paper pad, Hero Arts "Paint Brush Trees" and
"Most Wonderful Time" wood mounted stamps, Making Memories "Mistletoe" stick pins

Link your bird-based beauties here by 6pm (EST) on Wednesday, March 27th. Keyword for galleries and Flickr is JB:19:06.

  1. I missed you this morning! Love the prompt and your sweet cards. So fun to see that you both opted for a dark grey background. And I'm totally with you, Lauren. Your background is just perfect for your little scene.
