Sketch-tastic!

There were so many ♥FAB♥U♥LOUS♥ sketch cards this time, we hardly knew where to look first; thank you for giving us such an awesome "problem" lol! Here are a few sketch cards that made us especially happy:

...combined patterns of different scales to really emphasize the clean lines of the sketch, plus check out those uber-sweet birds!

IO.PEACE

...rocked our world with her amazingly clever ONE LAYER embossed panel that delineates the sections of the sketch with ♥COLOR♥!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Vintage Christmas Artistic Outpost

...added texture and interest to each of the sketch's sections with embossing, stamps and glittery trim!

Many thanks to everyone who played along, we ♥LOVE♥ to see what you will do! We'll be back at midnight with a brand new prompt and a lovely new sponsor-- so YES, there's an excellent chance of prize-- come on back and hear all the delightfully digital details! :)

SKETCH-ing Around the Christmas Tree

We're still sketch-ing this week at Jingle Belles ... remember, the circle element in the design can be any shape.

Here's what we created:

Lauren says, "I started out with a completely different-- much more colorful-- idea; but then I found the awesome glittery Papaya Art sentiment sticker and a scrap of belovedly hoarded kraft+silver Hambly snowflake paper and the whole neutral-but-glitzy idea was born. I filled in with florals, a premade vintage-look snowflake diecut and a few rhinestone flourishes that i snipped apart and put back together in a shape that worked better for my design; then called it a day.

Stephanie says, "I created a monochromatic design using three different teal green designer papers from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day Collection.  I used strips of red paper from the same Collection to break-up the panels and finished with a piece of flair (because who doesn't love receiving a little flair for Christmas).  Click-on over to my blog if you'd like to see two more cards I made with the same papers."

Can't wait to see what you create with my sketch.  Remember, the link-up ends at 6pm (EST) on Wednesday, May 6th. Keyword for galleries and Flickr is JB:15:09. ♥

We Wish You a Merry SKETCH-mas

This week we've got a Sketch to inspire you (someday I'll learn how to make fancy digital sketches ... but for now, a ruler & black sharpie are my tools).  The circle can be any shape ... have fun with it.

Here's what we created:

Stephanie says, "I knew I wanted one of my dimensional, glittery gift tags to be my focal image, so I build my panels around it ... I used solid blue, *Merry Christmas* embossed red and glittery white to frame my Christmas Owl.  I finished with an SRM Sticker sentiment."

Lauren says, "At the moment I'm pretty addicted to watercolor paints and hand lettering, so I thought I'd try to incorporate that into my card. Thanks to the awesomely segmented design, I was able to work the sentiment on a separate piece of watercolor paper... just in case it didn't come out well on the first try. :) I also had fun painting a bunch of multi-colored holly leaves; and slightly less fun cutting all of them out, lol, but I *love* the dimension they give to the finished card!"

Can't wait to see what you create with my sketch.  The link-up ends at 6pm (EST) on May 6th. Keyword for galleries and Flickr is JB:15:09. ♥
