Fabulous Feathered Friends

So many cute little birdies in the gallery this week ... here are a few that were particularly tweety.

so much birdie fun.

how do you not fall in love with a birdie snowman ... and that perfect snowy sky.

but also added another bird to accent her sentiment.

Season's Tweetings

We're still rockin' with the robins, prancin' with the penguins and possibly even attending a flamingo fiesta this fortnight... and you still have until Wednesday evening at 6pm EST to link-up and join the fun, which we hope you will (remember there's a prize this week for one lucky participant)!

Here's how we #putabirdonit this week:

Stephanie says, "This week's card is brought to you by cardstock embellishments on a light grey card base ... doesn't he look perfect perched on the snow globe in his snappy little sock cap ... flurries of fun for sure."

Lauren says, "I've gone very distressed and shabby chic this time, with papers from Prima's "Santa Baby" and "Sweet Peppermint" collections, not to mention that lusciously frosted, dimensional poinsettia! I've added in a washi tape sentiment, a few punched borders and some ancient pinecone stickers that I think look surprisingly good in this context. At the very end, I felt like there was not enough of the darker red from the flower to anchor the design, so I slipped in a burgundy mat before adding lots (and lots!) of machine stitching."

Rockin' Robin

This fortnight at Jingle Belles we are celebrating our fine, festive, feathered friends by asking you to make a brand new holiday card and #putabirdonit or, for those who don't speak hashtag (or Portlandia), "put a bird on it" lol!

It could be a sweet Christmas robin, fun penguins at the North Pole, a festive flamingo, or any other avian creature who strikes your fancy.

Here's what we made this week:

Lauren says, "I don't think I've ever made an Xmas card with a charcoal grey background before, but this holiday lights paper from Simple Stories just seemed to set off the little framed collage of words (from Elle's Studio) and my (Doodlebug) critters and birds so well, i couldn't resist!

Stephanie says, "I couldn't resist this cute little penguin and sentiment from Taylored Expressions Quick Critters Winter Stamp & Die combo... and strangely enough, I also used a dark grey background for my card paired with fun little holiday bingo cards and papers from the Say Cheese Collection by Simple Stories."

And just because it's very nearly almost Spring and we're excited about that, there's a little prize for one lucky (random) cardmaker who links up with us this fortnight:

MME "Mistletoe Magic" 6x6 paper pad, Hero Arts "Paint Brush Trees" and
"Most Wonderful Time" wood mounted stamps, Making Memories "Mistletoe" stick pins

Link your bird-based beauties here by 6pm (EST) on Wednesday, March 27th. Keyword for galleries and Flickr is JB:19:06.
