Navy Nativity

We're still celebrating a BLUE Christmas this week ... creating cards that predominantly feature shades of blue.

Here are our second cards:

Stephanie says, "I took my color & sketch inspiration from Fusion Card Challenge combining several navy patterned papers together with a pair of bells (or belles in our case) and sentiment from Stampin' Up."

Lauren says, "I have a nice little stash of vintage Christmas "Ideals" magazine. I love that almost every issue has a few pages that are printed in just shades of blue, like a colorful version of greyscale! I've used one here, as you can see, and added a few blue and white florals to add a bit of texture!"

There's still plenty of time to join the fun! Scroll down to the original post for all the details! ♥

Blue Christmas

In case you didn't already figure it out from the title of today's post, we're going BLUE at Jingle Belles ... we're creating holiday cards that predominantly feature the color BLUE ... it can be sky blue, royal blue, cornflower blue, or even azure ... as long as the card features mostly shades of BLUE you're good.

Here are our Blue Christmas creations for this week:

Lauren says, "I chose my blue in the form of my all-time favorite (well-hoarded, lol!) Basic Grey holiday paper, laden with layers of torn vintage book pages and doilies; then added some bold snowflakes diecut from a mash-up of Indigo and Ultramarine ColorBurst, with embossing paste highlights. A little more blue, in the form of inked edges, some wonky stitching, oversized rhinestones, and I was ready to call this one DONE!"

Stephanie says, "I usually prefer the deeper blues, but I went with softer shades for my first card.  I seriously over-bought those gorgeous felt snowflakes from Stampin' Up several years ago, so I'm trying to clear my stash.  I paired them with Lawn Fawn plaid paper, snowflake embossing, an Eyelet Outlet gem and Hero Arts sentiment ... all using this week's Sunday Stamps Sketch."

So go find your favorite blues and create a holiday card with us this week.  Link-up with us by Wednesday, May 24th at 6pm EST.  Keyword for galleries for our Flickr Gallery is JB:17:10
