Jingle Belle Jewels

We were pretty sure we weren't the only Jingle Belles who believe that Christmas + sparkly things make the perfect card-making combination. The only "problem" with all the beautifully blinged cards you guys linked up, is that it made it really hard to only choose three to feature! But we did our best:

...made a card that is very possibly the best use ever of stickles. Seriously, who knew they could add that much beautiful sparkly impact?!

...managed to combine silver embossing, mirror card AND sequins and still make a card that doesn't feel over done. Impressive!

...not only made a card that raises glittery fun foam to artful new heights; the story of the card she made just before this one is absolutely hilarious.

And now I think we'd all like to know who will be taking home that fun and sparkly prize, right? Well the fine folks at Random.Org have selected...

Lucky Number #2
which means that
is our Lucky Winner!
Congrats!
please send your snail mail info to
 lauren at llaurenb @hotmail .com
to claim your prize.

Many thanks to everyone who played along, we loved seeing every single one of your creations. We'll be back at midnight with a brand new prompt we hope will make you want to "tie one on"!

Jingle Belles are BLING-ing

We're still celebrating everything glittering and sparkly, so break out those stick-on gems and pearls, stickles, tinsel embossing powder, or maybe even actual loose glitter if you're feeling especially brave! Scroll down to link up with us on the original post; where you can also see the Readers' Gallery and a fun little bling-centric prize that one lucky random cardmaker will win!

Meanwhile here's how we got our bling on this week:

Lauren says, "I had an entirely different idea when I sat down, but then I found this ancient bling frame and I changed course so I could use it. My card base is a well-hoarded Hambly Transparency (thank you Stephanie for grabbing them up whenever you come across them!) the sparkly pink tape, flowers and Snowflake Brad are from Eyelet Outlet."

Stephanie says, "This week I combined a double-dose of Glitter with some Chunky Bling for a big dose of sparkle.  I love this off-set die cut technique for an extra-dose of elegance.  Dies and Stamps are from Taylored Expressions."

BLING on the Holidays

You guessed it ... we're creating holiday cards that feature lots of BLING ... that can mean jewels, gems, beads, pearls, glitter, stickles ... pretty much anything sparkly.

Here's how we sparkled this week.

Stephanie says, "This week I combined my Jingle Belles card with the Taylored Expressions TEMakerChallenge (to use Pink, a Circle and Ink Blending).  I used the Taylored Expression Poinsettia & Pine Stencil to Dry Emboss Pink cardstock background and then ink blended to bring out the texture.  Next I stamped & die cut my focal point sentiment from Taylored Expression Handlettered Holiday 2 Sentiment ... and then I bought out the Eyelet Outlet Bling to add some sparkle to say Merry Merry."

Lauren says, "When I think of bling, I generally go right for my Eyelet Outlet goodies too, lol! In this case, I cut apart and re-pieced some Swirl Bling to fit my design. I also made a circle mat from American Crafts' POW Glitter Cardstock for a little more flash. I used this week's Sketch Saturday (#610) as a guide to laying out my card. All of the patterned papers are last year's "Christmas in the Country" collection by Prima Marketing, from my lss, Paper Anthology."

Since there's Eyelet Outlet Bling on both of our cards, it seems like we should also share a bit with you guys! So here's a sparkly little prize that one lucky random cardmaker will win, just by linking up a card (or two... or three...) with us this fortnight:

Link your card(s) here by 6pm (EDT) on Wednesday, June 3rd. Keyword for galleries and Flickr is JB:20: 11.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
